As the name suggests, the Koo Platform is not only an application or client to interact with the OpenERP server. It is a complete library that allows extending the standard application and creating new applications. This makes it, along with the server flexibility, an ideal platform for application developers who require power and ease of use.
Koo, as the application server OpenERP/OpenObject, uses Python as language and PyQt as graphics library. As database server it uses PostgreSQL.
The Koo project is hosted on Launchpad at launchpad.net/openobject-client-kde. There you can find the source code and send bug reports and suggestions for improvement. Mailing lists for users and developers are also available.
In the repository you will find examples of new applications and the documented API. If you need us to lend you a hand or you want to speed up the learning process, remember that at NaN·tic we also provide training for developers.
