Accounting reports with Jasper

Just a quick note for those interested in a new set of accounting reports. We have published account_jasper_report for OpenERP v6, which provides Journal, Trial Balance, General Ledger, and VAT Register reports. Until now, we had been using the account_financial_report module, which included some modifications to old and standard reports, but unfortunately its performance was very poor for companies with many accounting entries.

The new module is very fast and allows you to create a General Ledger with 58,000 entries and 1,300 pages in just one and a half minutes. We had to wait several hours with the previous reports.

If you would like to try it, please note that you will need the latest version of the jasper_reports module.
